User's notes

Not sure whether this is a fly or a mozzie but my first instinct was mozzie. It was slightly larger (in every way) than your average mozzie. As it was quite dark when spotted, colour might be different when in the light but it appeared to be mostly jet black with reddish eyes. It has a spiky abdomen.
