User's notes

Found on a sapling beside Black Range Road. Cannot identify these robber flies from any of the references I have or could find on Atlas of Life.

A friend in Melbourne with expertise on terrestrial invertebrates has suggested these flies may be a species of Laphria. Is that genus part of the family Asilidae?
