User's notes

A single yellow cup fungi 3 cms across, 3 cms deep. Walls were thin and felt like aged rubber. The surface had a rough, bumpy surface. The cup was sitting on the ground. Once the stem was revealed, it was white, rough and wide. More than half the width of the cup.

Looks like the remains of a puffball to me, after all the spores are shed.

Damn, and here I was getting all excited about finding something new. The interior was very smooth, like nothing had been inside and normally our Earth Star puffballs flatten right out. I think this was why I thought it a fungi cup.
