Foliage is a darkish green, long and oval in shape. Flower starts on the top of a spike coming from a cluster of pink buds that open into white flowers, approx. 1 cm across, down the stalk. Tallest stalk approximately 30cm. Multiple plants seen in an area that saw intense bushfire.
Hi Fiona, I've just been seeing the same effect up around Mogo, post-fire, with this species. We have it on our place, which didn't get burnt in 2020, and it is performing very poorly this spring. It didn't seem to respond to the 2018 fire on our place, but then it was a lot drier after that one.
Thanks Jackie. We do not seem to have it on ours, but we were luckily missed by the fires. In our neighbours place, where it burnt intensely, these are springing up everywhere but only in places stripped totally bare.
