User's notes

This bird was going through his range of mimicry in the late morning misty rain today. I stalked him while he worked the undergrowth and he tolerated my presence for an hour or so, always being careful to keep a few focus-flummoxing branches between us. Not great photos but all he would permit. I thought the crest showing in the first pic was interesting — perhaps a sign of anxiety?
