Many of my hikes I might see or hear animals but not be able to photograph them. On September 7 I spotted whales at play, a lace monitor and what I think is a square-tailed kite. The cross markings on the wing feathers made me believe this is what it was.

Great photos Ross. The grey head is also a good diagnostic feature for this species.
