in this case the petals of flowers were the object of appetite though other jewel beetles eat other areas of a plant....

I don't usually need to consider C. ericifolium - at least in Ulladulla. The leaves appear aristate and this suggests C. taxifolium according to PlantNET. I have leaves as narrow at sites around Ulladulla, but its a question of degree (but also I can see these leaves are a little flat as well). Having said all that if you are familiar with C ericifolium and basing your decision on that you are probably correct.

There is overlap in C.ericifolim, C. taxiforlium and C. ellipticum, which makes things difficult. I will soon be recording a sighting of C. ericifolium at Beecroft Peninsula recorded today.

That will be interesting. Had another look at narrow C. taxifolium at Ulladulla today: leaves about 1.5mm wide and flat also aristate.
