Not sure of species but possibly junonius. Growing on a dead eucalyptus trunk. Some caps irregularly shaped.

Yes definitely a Gymnopilus. I've gone for G. ferruginosus because of the texture on the cap, and stem, the substrate and because there are only a scatted few. G. junonius does tend to be found in larger clumps usually at the base of stumps and trees etc. It's always a challenge giving a definite id to an image as there is a greater chance of mis identification!!

I had another closer look at the cap of that Gymnopilus last night and have come to the conclusion that your identification of G. junonius is correct!! Sorry about misleading you on that one...........So have revised the identification:)
