twinning amongst other plants, seed pod is about 3mm wide

A nasty invasive weed. From the yellow look of the foliage, it seems the leaf hopper biocontrol might be having an impact on it, or the rust fungus. Hopefully it will start looking sicker and sicker.

fascinating info Jacquie does that mean we should remove the seed pods if we see this? Its interesting Corunna headland has a lot more weeds than Eurobodalla national park near 1080 where I've been recording recently

Removing the fruits might not be feasible unless it is a very small infestation. Then you have to figure out how to dispose of them safely. I usually burn weed seed as we have a wood stove, but these would be a bit wet and fleshy to burn well. Since the biocontrols were released it has been getting less invasive - they weaken the plants and hopefully prevent quite a bit of seeding, but don't eradicate it.
