The indented pinnules look more like A. capillas-veneris but the location of the sporangia is important to differentiate. I’m wondering if this is a regional variant of A. aethiopicum, or even a new species?
You are correct. One needs a fertile frond. A capillas-veneris is naturalsied along the coast north of Kiama. If you are concerned, we should make this probable ID. Finding fertile fronds would be good.
