Here is my whinge of the day. I exported my KV plants and was excited to see that not only do I have my endangered solanum but 2 others that are rare or uncommon. Exciting! But then I saw that those 2 rare ones are rare to the Canberra region, but not the South Coast. I’m a bit sad now. But at least I have 1 endangered plant. I’m calling her Spiky. If you really want to continue to branch out beyond the Canberra region, you need to look at giving correct info about where the plants are actually native. Otherwise you will have others like me who get excited only to find that their rare plant isn’t rare at all. Have a great day everybody. 😊
Unfortunately this is the best we can do at the moment, taxa will display the global status over the local ones. It doesn't seem to be possible to rectify this with the current system. This is mostly a problem with the "rare/uncommon" and "non-local native" listing.
Hi @Tapirlord - the platform will always take the local value first, where one exists. If no local value exists, then the global value will be taken by default. If you believe the system isn't behaving like this, definitely shoot us a message and we'll check it out as a priority.
Weirdness. My exported data shows Adiantum hispidulum var. hispidulum and Ozothamnus diosmifolius as rare or uncommon and that symbol comes up at the top of my sightings. However, under species information. On the record for my sighting, it does not indicate rare or uncommon. BTW - Ciaran, please disregard message. I don’t know what I was thinking 😊
