Continued from sighting: https://southcoast-nsw.naturemapr.org/sightings/4539901. This moth emerged on the 29/12/2023. There appear to be two other case moths that have attached themselves to the lid. The moth has emerged from a different case within the container, but has settled on one of the case moths on the lid.
Its interestng that the photo shows clearlyya very dark and almost black forewing colour, but with clear or white wing tips. This corresponds with the photo for Lomera zophopepla wich appears on Lepidoptera Butterfly House, see http://lepidoptera.butterflyhouse.com.au/psyc/zophopepla.html however, the distribution of that species is given as Queensland only which iks borne out by other records of the species which can be seen online. Otherwise a black wing colour would suggestLomera xanthochrysa, but I'm not sure your photos of the case would correspond to those for L. xanthochrysa shown on Lepidoptera Butterfly House. Perhaps though, the white wings tips are temporary features ubtil the moth's wing harden after emergence.
@RobG1 : have you got, or can you take another photo, and add it to this sighting, showing the adbomen more clearly. It's colour is another diagnostic for determining it's species.
I think that the black antennae appear to rule out L. zophopepla and the case adornment style appears to rule out L. xanthochrysa. I think it is probably one of the other 17+ Australian Lomera species
