Looks a bit like Lepyrodia scariosa which I common up that way, but without an inflorescence there's not much use looking for an ID on my end. Did you have anything in particular in mind?
I was hoping that the sheath with its distinctive lamina might give a definitive ID. Your suggestion looks good: Lepyrodia scariosa, as sheath fits, as does lack of culm-branching.
