I think this spreads by layering so is not invasive like the seed-spreading Lavandula stoechas. Worth watching, in case I am wrong.

It was a good challenge to approach closer to identification based on evidences shown here,
and learning more about Commersonia spp., for me yesterday .

Yeah, before identifying or confirming this as that, i suggest you need to check the other two closely related species,
and show that it is not them.
I reckon! it does most look like C. breviseta but in the time i spent yesterday could not yet prove it wasn't one of the other two related species . Some places all three spp. grow nearby together .
That's why i did not alreayd add here a suggested identification to C. breviseta .
