A species of Thelephora

Possibly a Hydnum

Hydnum repandum or Hydnum crocidens

This is a complex group but we note the spines are non-decurrent but reach the stipe and are about 4mm long. Cap is dry and centrally depressed and younger ones were finely felty.
An interesting find not often seen here.

Confirm your id.

Definitely not a myxo;
appears to be something along the lines of a Phlebia sp or another of the corticorcoide fungi which often appear on wood.
