Wow. So it's only the gills that are luminescent then - I never knew that. We've tried to photograph it at our place but failed. Did you do a very long exposure on a tripod or what?

We used a tripod with about a 30 second exposure, but we had to shine torches on it first. (we didn't have strong torches.) In the second photo I was in the process of exposing when my friend turned on the torch again, but this worked out really well as the gills in the back mushroom are showing the green luminescence while the mushrooms are brightly lit.

Good-oh, thanks. Next time we see some we'll have to try and remember where the tripod is stored and have a go.
