User's notes

Not a fishing person and limited knowledge of species. Saw this one feeding along a rocky outcrop into Pambula River. Hope the photo is good enough for an ID.

Local bream are difficult to distinguish. Populations include Yellowfin Bream (A. australis), Black Bream (A. butcheri), and hybrids. As the fins on this one are darkish (not yellow), I think it's A. butcheri. This species is particularly adapted to life in estuaries ... read more at the link below:
