Was the bark flaky in thin layers (linearis) or smooth (mollis)?

You actually don't have to worry about flaky vs smooth bark on coastal Persoonia species this far south, as mollis only occurs north of about Batemans Bay. But there are two flaky barked ones, linearis and levis - the latter has much wider leaves and is mostly in heath, rarely in forest. Still it doesn't hurt to include a shot of the bark, especially for eucalypts, just for future reference. I often pick a sprig of leaves (plus buds, flowers or fruits if available) and hold them in front of the trunk for a photo that shows both features.
