Sorry I can't tell you the species name. Amanitas are mycorrhizal, that is it grows in association with the roots of plants and both gain benifits from this association. So this one is growing in association with a plant, most probably a tree. Were there any Eucalypts nearby, a typical host? If so it will be healthier because of this association.
