Found scattered amongst mulsh in very informal bush garden, White spots round the red cap were the identifying feature. The dark gills shown are laden with spores as seen on the dichondra leaves.
You have indeed - well done. Good to see you noted those distinquishing characteristics. Sadly I often find that this species starts to herald the end of the main fungal season!
