I am suggesting the first image is I. ferrilinea due to the overall rusty colouration, the lack of long fringing hairs to the hind and forewings, and the differing overall patterning, to I. philicosma. Records on the ALA show this species having a widespread Australian distribution including southern and eastern NSW.

I therefore suggest the first and second images are different species and suggest re-submitting them as separate records. I think the second image is I. philocosma.

I think that the colouration is consistent with I. philocosma (see MOV 3). The specimen appears worn, and so the long fringing hairs are also worn.
