Small, delicate dark brown fungi. Cap dark brown with frilled edge approx. the size of a 50c piece. Underneath a lighter brown with full gills. It stood approx. 5 cms from the ground.
The give away for identification with many in this genus is the colour, size and most particularly the fine splitting of the cap from the outer edge towards the centre. These are mycorrhizal fungi, maybe in this case the grasses or other nearby plant.
