User's notes

Bright yellow 6 petalled flower with yellow stamen. Stem was quite long, approx.15 cms but not erect. Leaves were similar to grape leaves. Flower is popping up in the grassy areas of our bush.

Hi Fiona, Sorry I missed this when you first put it up. The leaves are actually a Hydrocotyle species. Hypoxis has narrow grass-like leaves with long fine hairs on the margins, which are easy to overlook. It is popping up in grassy areas all over since the rain starting falling again.
