Small shrub with long pointy leaves and small round berries in varying stages of ripeness. Have seen this plant only once before (when checking to see if the fires had reached our creek. The photo was taken at 1 pm though it looks like night) and it was tall (over 1 metre) but spindly.
Hi Fiona, That one is a weed and potentially quite invasive so you might want to dig it out and destroy the fruits. It is bird dispersed, for obvious reasons, so the odd one will pop up here and there, but if not removed the numbers will increase. We had one or two here and it wasn't too hard to get rid of, just needed a bit of follow-up for a year or two. The fruits are quite poisonous.
