A deep, semi-trumpet fawn coloured fungi with curled, slightly frilled lip and exposed white gills. No stalk evident. The top felt smooth and slightly slimy though it wasn't wet and soft to the touch.
Can't be sure of an identification with this species - sorry. There are a couple of different species that it could be so to be on the safe side I'll just id it as an Agaric (a gilled fungus)
