Is Simplicia cornicalis the same as Simplicia caeneusalis?

No, good question. Two distinct species., according to Bold Systems 4. They look very similar. S. caeneusalis apparently occurs in SE Asia and the Pacific (BS4 only has a record from Malaysia) whereas S. cornicalis is shown to be native to eastern coastal Australia only ranging from N Queensland to southern NSW. The ALA shows both species within the Simplicia genus category online, whereas it recognises only S. caeneusalis as a species is in its own right which apparently follows the Australian Faunal Directory which only recognizes S. caeneusalis. Wikepedia treats them as equivalent. The Wikipedia entry says: 'Simplicia caeneusalis was placed in synonymy with Simplicia cornicalis by Jeremy Daniel Holloway in 2008 after examination of the genitalia of the type in Copenhagen. I suggest we follow the AFD and by implication the ALA and merge the two to be S. caeneusalis for our purposes. I cannot tell any difference visually.
