The genus Coprinus was subdivided into four genera; Coprinus, Coprinopsis, Coprinellus and Parasola. It can be a little confusing at times to distinguish one genera from another except with distinctive species. Therefore to be on the safe side when not 100% sure I put sightings under 'Coprinellus etc. spp.' which includes all genera. Though this sighting is not of Parasola.
A lovely clear image of these saprotrophic (decomposer) black spored 'ink caps'.
