Sporangia:- narrowly cylindrical, in dense and often large clusters, stalked, usually curved, rusty brown, 7 to 20 mm.tall.
Stalk:- black, smooth shiny, rising from a membranous hypothallus.
Columella:- reaching the apex of the sporatheca, wavy in upper part.
Capillitium:- with a smooth and usually close surface-net, connected with the columella by few stout branches, and composed of rather firm threads bounding rounded meshes, which are usually small.
Spores:- Rusty brown on mass almost colourless by transmitted light, faintly warted. Plasmodium:- White rarely pale yellow
