Considered by NSW Herbarium to be Cassytha pubescens but the Melbourne Herbarium recognise it as a separate species and it is distinctive in the field. Stems, flowers and fruits are strongly rusty-hairy, flowers are sparsely strung along the flowering stem, not clustered.
