A. farinacea 's pileus (cap) is 'finely mealy all over...a few vague soft scales when very young, at maturity often smooth, margin somewhat to strongly appendiculate.....stipe (stem) smooth above, mealy below.
Image has characteristics of Amanita pyramidifera - which I'll have to add to the species list. Pileus (cap) covered with white to dirty white distinctive pyramid warts a little flatter towards margin. In image this character seems a bit flattened I assume to advanced state of ageing. Stipe narrows towards lamellae (giils) without annulus (ring) - only one of these white Amanitas with pyramidal warts without an annulus. Bulbous base that has a covering of smaller pyramidal warts. This seems to fit your image - what do you think Teresa?

Pam, I must agree with you.
This was a very old specimen found this morning on the first field outing with the Atlas Naturalists held at Wajurda Point on the south coast, and taken using the app, without my usual field guides at hand.
The entire area was very dry and in order to load this up I used the closest possible species; so please add Amanita pyramidifera when ever you are able. Many thanks for your support.

I don't understand?! I've filled in, I thought, all the details for a "add a new species", including sensitivity and common name, which there isn't one so just filled in with the scientific name as I'd seen done with other species. When I rechecked the list of fungal names it was there with all the details!!!? What else am I supposed to do?

Sometimes it just takes an hour or two to complete the loading process, did the same thing with the Conocybe
