Hemitrichia clavata

Sporangia:- stalked, gregarious, subglobose  erect yellow, 1.5mm tall. Slender stem brownish in colour.
Peridium:- Single, membranous; when mature the peridium dehises to leave a deep vase like Calyculus.
Capillitium is not very dense, decorated with spiral bands and fine spinules.
Spores golden yellow on mass, pale yellow by transmitted light, spinulose.
Substrate:- Dead wood.
