Again found in numerous amounts in the damper areas on wood.

Had you thought of a species of Mollisia? They are usually found in large numbers on wood and have that colouration.

Yes, but fertile surface of mature specimens did not match macroscopic features of colour or size. This was quite different to the Mollisia sp. we have found in the past in this forest.
