This heading is used to capture all the great 'bolete' type fungi that are uploaded to the site that we are unsure of which family they belong in.

Boletales is an order and is higher than and includes all the families of 'bolete type fungi. Therefore when unsure of the family it is more robust from the identification point of view (taxonomically) to place the fungi under this heading.

It must be remembered that not all of these 'bolete' type fungi have been identified, especially here in Australia. Hopefully as we gain more knowledge and understanding of this group we will be able to give more definitive identifications to the sightings placed here.
