Look closely at this entry. Although at first glance you will only see the white Ceratiomyxa fruticulosa (a slime mould), it is surrounding a second species of fungal growth, an Orbiia sp, the semi translucent dics can been seen attached to the wood beneath. This is an ascomycete fungi and is very common, although it is often over looked due to its size and colour. Do look out for these as they come in a range of colours including very bright orange!
